The Larimer County Health Department has put in place an Emergency Public Health Order effective 10/20/21 that all “public indoor spaces” (including houses of worship) require masks be worn by participants. This requirement exempts children aged 2 or younger as well as those who cannot wear face-coverings due to personal medical conditions. This new Public Health Order is in response to the recent upsurge in local COVID-19 cases in our county, increasing hospitalizations, and is an effort to mitigate the spread of the virus. This Emergency Public Health Order will stay in effect for at least 3 weeks. If you would like more information and the rationale you can access the following website:
The leadership of Discovery Fellowship Church recognizes the necessity of keeping everyone who participates at Discovery as safe as possible, as well as the responsibility we have to honor the Lord by complying with the governing authority under which He has placed us (Rom.13). This presents us with another incentive as a church body to pray (individually and corporately) for the Lord to provide a speedy resolution to the ongoing COVID-19 crisis and to be unified in our commitment to care for one another.
Aside from requesting that all who enter our facility wear a mask or face-covering, our operations on-site will essentially remain the same. There will be no space or seating limitations, we will continue to follow all of our current sanitizing and cleaning protocols, and all of our regular ministry operations and programs will continue as scheduled. This includes the weekly online broadcasts of our worship services each Sunday morning at 9:00 and 10:30 a.m. for those who cannot meet at the facility in-person.
May the Lord bless you and continue to bless His church!
