Small Groups
When we look at the early church we get a picture of small communities of people who followed Jesus together.
Ultimately, life groups are a way of living out our purpose, both as individuals and as a collective group of believers—to be the church. We share a common foundation of faith and God has called us to live out the implications of that faith in a relational community, in the context that we call a life group.
Discovery Life Groups meet through out the week and on Sunday morning.
Local Outreach
Every church is also called to help others in need. Examples of this kind of outreach can include serving the poor, homeless outreach, prison ministry, serving at hospitals, hospice centers, or nursing homes, all the while sharing the Good News of the Gospel… Discovery has a ministry called SHINE…Serving Him In Neighborhoods Everywhere…we meet every third Saturday to do just that, helping others in need.
Events
Whether you are looking for something to do with your family or just wanting to connect with others at the church, there is always something to do at Discovery!
Missions
Discovery supports local missions, state missions, and global missions by sending out and supporting over 24 missionaries and missions organizations.
Jesus offers eternal life, abundant joy, and the gift of the Holy Spirit to anyone who would place their trust in Him.
Those that place their trust in Jesus are given hope because they are freed from sin, guilt and shame. They’re commissioned to continue his Mission throughout the world, telling others about Jesus and inviting them to follow Him, Matt 28:19.
Volunteer
Get involved in the local ministry of Discovery Fellowship Church. We have a variety of areas, from children’s ministry to A/V and social media. Wherever you are gifted, you can go from just attending church to being the Church.
Why Give to the Local Church?
“The earth is the LORD’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it…” —Psalm 24:1 As Christ Followers, we believe that we are stewards of God’s resources because He is the Owner of all that we have. Throughout scripture, we are reminded of the importance of giving back a portion of what God has so generously provided. His Word tells us that giving is an act of worship that should be done with a spirit of thanksgiving.
